Justin B. Sikes, DMD
Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial SurgeonDr. Sikes completed his undergraduate studies at University of Georgia where he obtained a degree in Microbiology. He then chose to continue his education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry where he obtained his dental degree. Upon completion of his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry, Dr. Sikes began his career as a general dentist at Northern Navajo Medical Center, in Shiprock, NM. After four years as a dentist Dr. Sikes was chosen to apply for an Indian Health Service sponsored position in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He then was accepted into the hospital based residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at University of Washington in Seattle, Washington.
Dr. Sikes completed the four year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency where he ascended to Chief Resident. While at Harborview Medical Center, Dr. Sikes received extensive hands-on training in providing various forms of anesthesia including general anesthesia and intravenous sedation.
Following completion of his residency, Dr. Sikes went through the rigorous process of seeking board certification in which he was successful. He is a proud Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Dr. Sikes is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
Dr. Sikes is on staff and maintains privileges at Northern Navajo Medical Center. Also, he maintains assistant privileges at San Juan Regional Medical Center.
